A B.C. woman has been disciplined for working as a dental hygienist without proper registration for a second time, CTV News reported.
Barbara Host had previously practised without being registered with the College of Dental Hygienists of B.C. with a promise not to do so again back in November 2008. A complaint was made by a patient in October 2023, which led to an investigation that found she had repeated this behaviour by working as a non-registered dental hygienist from September 2019 to October 2023.
Host has now consented to resign from the professional college and never apply for reinstatement as a hygienist in B.C.
