At a recent press conference, Health Minister Mark Holland said he will be revealing all critical details about the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) with dentists very soon.
With over 400,000 Canadian seniors now approved for the CDCP and appointments expected to start in May 2024, dental professionals are still left with an insufficient amount of information about the program.
The unknowns include: how dental providers can sign up for the program, how much they will be reimbursed for services, and how the program will work overall.
CP24 recently reported that the Canadian Dental Association believes time is running out to receive these crucial details and that it will be challenging for the program to be successful since the dentists still need time to register.
